Design and Application

V61 Series Vent relief valves are designed to automatically vent out the excess pressure from the line to keep the required line pressure. These valves can be used when the working fluid is not harmful when vented out. The level of cracking pressure should be set by adjusting the force of the spring in the valve before this valve is installed in the system.

Installation and Operation

This valve should be positioned perpendicularly to the direction of fluid flow in the line. Since this valve is opened automatically when the line pressure exceeds the set limit, the valve should be positioned so that vented fluid will not be vented onto any personnel or other vital equipment. Valve performance should be checked once operating personnel have moved to a safe distance from the valve.
